Rating Method of Lisharu Image for Martindale Pill Tester

Author:QINSUN Released in:2023-02 Click:141

The Martindale Abrasion Tester is used to measure fabric pilling under light pressure. Under the specified load, the round sample is rubbed with the abrasive material (i.e. standard cloth) with the plane motion of the trajectory forming the Lissajous figure. The specimen holder containing the specimen or abrasive is free to rotate about its axis perpendicular to the horizontal plane. Whether the specimen holder is filled with the specimen or with the abrasive depends on the test method used. Its trajectory forms a flat friction motion of a complete Lissajous figure, including 16 times of friction, that is, the two outer drive wheels of the Martindale wear tester rotate 16 times, and the inner drive wheel rotates 15 times. The Lissajous figure determined by the norm is a figure formed by changing motion.

Principle of operation:

Under a bAt a certain pressure, the round dust sample is pressed against the standard abrasive. trajectory of the Lissajous curve rub against each other, resulting in damage to the sample, and the abrasion resistance of the fabric is expressed by the number of times the sample is damaged.

Martindale Abrasion Tester Method Standards and Test Procedures

This instrument is suitable for two types of test methods, the basic operation is as follows:

>

1. Under a certain pressure, the round sample is rubbed against the fabric of the same material with the trajectory of the Lissajous figure. After reaching the specified number of revolutions, the degree of pilling of the sample is evaluated.

1.1 For this test method, it is recommended that users use the countdown in this instrument, which is more intuitive. Turn on the power switch of the instrument, the display screen will enter the countdown state, and then set the data to the number of frictionturns required in the test method standard.

1.2 Prepare sample and abrasive according to standard method.

1.3 Clamp the sample onto the friction head required in the method standard, with the test surface facing out. When the tested fabric does not exceed 500 g/m2, a piece of polyester foam is placed between the sample and the friction head; when it exceeds 500 g/m2 or a composite fabric, no foam is required. The eight samples were subjected to the same voltage when clamped.

1.4 Place the felt and abrasive on 4 sample platforms respectively. Place the sample loading hammer on the abrasive, then tighten the abrasive tight ring to fix the abrasive tight ring on the sample platform. And make 4 abrasives that are under the same voltage.

1.5 Place the friction head on the abrasive and insert the connecting rod through the station hole of the guide platet on the friction head. Whether to add a sample weight or a disk depends on the requirements of each test method.

1.6 After confirming that the Lissajous motion curve specifications are correct, touch the start button and the instrument will start working until the friction value is 0 and the instrument will stop automatically.

1.7 Record the sample and compare it with the standard photo in the evaluation box, evaluate the degree of pilling of each sample.

1.8 When you do the following test, you must touch the reset button to return the instrument to its original state.

2. Under a certain pressure, the round tissue sample and the standard abrasive rub against each other according to the movement trajectory of the Lissajous curve, resulting in damage to the sample. The abrasion resistance of the fabric is expressed by the number of abrasions when the sample is damaged.

2.1 For this test method wordt recommended that users use the counting method in this instrument, which is more intuitive. Turn on the power switch of the instrument and set the data to the number of friction revolutions required in the test method standard.

2.2 Prepare standard abrasives, standard pads and samples according to standard methods.

2.3 Cover the standard abrasive on the standard pad, and the surface of the standard abrasive should not have wrinkles, yarn knots or uneven thickness. And put a sample loading hammer on the standard abrasive, then tighten the abrasive tight ring, so that the abrasive tight ring is fixed on the sample table, and make sure that the four abrasives are under the same tension. A new standard abrasive or sample should be used at the start of each test and after 50,000 rubs a new standard abrasive should be replaced after the test is completed.

2.4 Place hThe sample on the friction head required in the method standard and at the same time put polyurethane foam between the sample and the friction head.

2.5 Place the friction head on the abrasive and insert the connecting rod through the station hole of the guide plate on the friction head. Whether to add a sample weight or a disk depends on the requirements of each test method.

2.6 After confirming that the specifications of the Lissajous motion curve are correct, touch the start button and the instrument will start working until the predetermined number of friction revolutions and the instrument will stop automatically.

2.7 Observe the wear rate of each sample and estimate the number of friction interval rotations required to continue the test. Then according to the above setting method, reset the number of revolutions of the friction interval in the setting window, and restart the instrument to work. If some of theeight samples have reached the test termination status, touch the corresponding station count window to lock the station count function and remove the friction head from the station. Then continue the experiment until all eight animals are terminated.

2.8 Record the cumulative friction data of each station.

2.9 If you want to do the next test, you must touch the reset button to return the instrument to the initial state, and then reset the predetermined friction rotation number.

Standard Lissajous graph motion trajectory.

Remove the material from the grinding table, cover the surface of each grinding table with plain white paper with a diameter of (100 ± 5) mm and a minimum area unit of 100 g/m2, and fix it on the grinding table Make sure the surface is perfectly flat.

Sequentially insert the stainless steel sleeve with the same diameter as the shaft of the sample pen into thee shaft sleeve of the sample guide plate, install an ordinary ballpoint pen and make contact with the tip of the pen with the surface of the paper. Rotate the instrument so that the number of rubs is 16 to form a finished LisaRu images.

Draw two parallel lines that just touch the outer curves on either side of the Lissajous figure. Draw two more parallel lines for the other two sides, making sure the lines intersect perpendicularly. Measure with an accuracy of ± 0.2 mm on each side, using an appropriate method. Check the 31 drawn lines, it is important to check the symmetry of the Lissajous figure. Consult the instrument supplier if the curves overlap or are unevenly distributed (see Figure A.1).
