Martindale Abrasion Tester can test the abrasion resistance and pilling performance of fabrics with different textures. The sample is subjected to continuous low-pressure reverse rubbing with a certain friction material, and the degree of wear and pilling can be compared with the standard parameters for evaluation. Second , Operating Procedures

1. Sample Preparation
Use a sampler to cut a 38mm diameter circular sample from the sample.
The sample should be placed in a constant temperature and humidity environment before testing to adjust the humidity.

2. Take turns laying a piece of standard felt of 140 mmand standard 140 mm friction cloth on each sanding table.
3. Press the fabric and felt flat with a weight, tighten the ring clip, and finally remove the weight. Prevent the fabric from curling when installing the sample. Place the sample in the sample holder. If the weight of the sample is less than 500 g/㎡, a new piece of polyurethane foam should be covered. If the sample weight is more than 500g/㎡, no foam liner is needed.
4. Place the sample clamp on the friction table and then apply the required pressure. Apparel fabrics require a pressure of 9 ± 0.2 kPa and decorative fabrics require a pressure of 12 ± 0.3 kPa. Set the correct number of times and start the machine.
5. After the instrument has stopped, observe the sample and estimate the number of rubs to continue. When the end of the experiment approaches, reduce the number of rubs and carefully cut off the hair particlesproduced on the sample with scissors.

Third, Precautions
Replace the abrasive and foam after each test, more than 50 in one test.
