Product introduction

Whisper Abrasion Testing Machine is an imported equipment which can be used for flat grinding, curved grinding, edge grinding, hemming grinding and anti-blooming, closing edge and napping and other wear tests, the tested sample can be dry or immersed in water, oil or other liquids, and can be used for woven and knitted fabrics, coated fabrics, fleece fabrics, socks, felt, not -woven fabrics, deep fabrics, yarns, cords, plastic films, rubber, leather, paper and many other materials. Then how the instrument will work, and then Shanghai Qianshi will introduce how to use the Whisper Abrasion Testing Machine.

Installation of Whisper Abrasion Testing Machine

1. Enable the instrument

When you receive your vibratory cylinder tester, check the box for damage that may have occurred during shipping. Open the instrument carefully and inspect thoroughly for damage or missing parts. Report any damage and/or shortages equipment to Integrity Smart Customer Service.

2 settings

After turning on the vibrating cylinder tester, place the instrument in a flat and smooth area with constant temperature and humidity.

Plug the power cord into the back of the instrument. Make sure the plug is firmly inserted into the instrument.

Unplug and plug ininto a suitable power outlet. Make sure it is properly grounded.

Whisper Abrasion Tester Operation

1 example

1.1 as applicable Sampling as required by the material specification or as agreed between buyer and seller. In the absence of such specification or other agreement, take a sample as specified in 7.2.

1.2 Take a laboratory sample of each roll or piece of fabric in the batch sample. The lab sample should be full width, at least 50 cm (about 20 inches) long and no closer than 1 meter (1 yard) to the end of the roll or fabric. Use the roll or fabric as the primary sampling unit.

1.3 Get a labsample unit of each roll or piece of fabric in the batch sample, the sampling unit is full width and at least 50 cm (20 in) long, and the sampling distance from the roll or end of each piece of fabric must not exceed 1 meter ( 1 yard).

1.4 Garment samples agreed upon by buyer and seller Shipment.

2 Quantity and preparation

2.1 In the absence of any applicable material specification, 12 samples were taken from each sample to be tested, 6 warp yarns (machine direction) and 6 weft yarns (machine direction).

2.2 Sample preparation:

Loop cut specimen 73 mm (27?8 in.) to 245 mm (95?8 in.). The monster must be smitten with a flame or a wingdown. Long dimensions are cut parallel to warp for warp (machine direction) rubbing, and weft yarns are cut parallel to weft (machine direction) rubbing. Woven fabrics cannot use the same warp yarn to cut two warp yarns, nor can the same weft yarn cut two weft yarns. If the fabric has a pattern, make sure the sample is a representative sample of the pattern.

2.2.2 The swatch is cut in the length and width direction of the fabric. The cut samples are distributed diagonally across the length and width of the fabric.

2.2.3 Ensure that the sample has no creases, creases or wrinkles. Do not sample within 10% of the selvedge.

2.2.4 If the fabric has a pattern, make sure the sample is a representative sampleof the pattern.

2.2.5 If necessary, seal the border to prevent it from falling apart. The edges of the sample can be sealed with rubber blue or stitched as described in test method D5034.

3 Whisper Air Conditioner

For the tests performed, the samples were pretreated under standard atmospheric pressure to achieve approximately moisture balance, and then the samples were placed in it. The test was performed under standard atmospheric pressure to achieve approximate moisture balance. Equilibrium is considered to be reached when the weight of the test piece does not increase by more than 0.1% of the weight of the test piece during continuous weighing of not less than 2 hours.

4 Preparation, maintenance, and calibration ofn Whisper Abrasion Tester Test Instrument

4.1 Use the manufacturer\'s instructions to calibrate the prepare and verify abrasion tester.

4.2 Check whether the rubber pad protrudes from under the bracket.

4.3 Check that the entire underside of the rubber pad without gaps is in contact with the cylinder part. If spaces are observed, reshape the underlying surface according to the instructions. Replace the pad at least once a year.

4.3.1 If you use wire mesh abrasive, clean it with a nylon brush. Clean the cylinder. Place and clamp 50 sandpaper in the steel cylinder on. Remove all pressure from the pad and lock the sample holder arm in place. Run the test programa in steps of 50 cycles. Check the space between the bottom surface of the pad and the cylinder after every 50 cycles.

Continue until the entire surface of the spacer matches the shape of the cylinder part. Wear patterns on the sandpaper can help determine if it is qualified.

4.4 Schedule at least weekly: first polish the surface of the cylinder part and the surface of the steel mesh, and then use Clean with a mild soap solution. Empty vacuum system. Inspect gaskets for wear and polish per 10.3.1.

4.5 After each test: brush the rubber mat remove all loose fibers, etc. With a nylon brush, brush the surface of the cylindrical part and the surface of the steel mesh with a cloth. If you use single-use abrasivesI use, such as sandpaper or cotton duck, replace it after each test.

4.6 The calibration of the oscillating cylinder machine must be in accordance with the provisions of the appendix of this method Go.

5 Whisper Abrasion Tester Program

5.1 Test Conditions Standard atmosphere for test fabric samples, 70±2°F (21±1° C) and 65±2% relative humidity.

5.2 Choose an abrasive for a particular end application. See Table 1. Make sure the abrasives are under tension and fully secured to the cylinder superior. If there is no specified abrasive, use a stencil. If using No. 10 cotton duck, make sure to use new duck pieces and install them on the machine with the baking direction evparallel to the warp direction. If we use wire mesh it should be preset and discarded after 20 million cycles or after visible wear, whichever comes first.

5.3 Randomly hold 4 warp yarns and 4 no-rad fill specimens from the laboratory sampling unit as a control.

5.4 Handle the specimen carefully to avoid altering the natural state of the material.

5.5 For a particular end use, set the sliding mass on the tension rod to the specified tension. See Table 1. With no specified tension, set to 8.9 N (2 lbf). Make sure that the sliding mass is at the correct tension.

5.6 Sample installation method:

5.6.1 Option 1 Place the sample in a long fixture with one arm parallel to the wear direction and place the sample in contact with the abrasive tissue surface. Secure the specimen with the back clamp. Clamp the specimen tighten with the front clamp, maintain equal tension in the short direction, pull the specimen taut, and at the same time pull the weighted tension rod back to the horizontal position.Secure front clip.To achieve even tension on all yarns, tension the specimen with a clamp of at least 1.5 in. Jaws wide, meeting vertically along their edges.

5.6.2 Choose 2 to secure the specimen in the front clamp with the arms up. Pass the test piece through the back clamp without tightening. Keeping the arm in the top position, push and pull the handle and adjust the bottom clip fabric Tighten the back clip with one hand, moving the fabric down in the armholds, the tension rod is level and needs a little adjustment.

5.7 Adjust the knurled screw on the top of the arm so that the pressure bar is horizontal. This position depends on the thickness of the specimen. Check with a level.

5.8 Provide additional samples on all test arms as directed in 11.4-11.7.

5.9 Set the automatic counter on the mill to stop at a specified number of cycles. If no number of cycles is specified, set to 3000. For longer tests, check every 5000 cycles.

5.10 Start the machine and grind the sample to the set numbness of cycles.

5.10.1 If the preparation is stretched during the test, adjust the knurled screw to the rearside of the rear clamp and use a spirit level to return the tie rod to the horizontal position.

5.11 2 meridional (longitudinal) grinding samples per cycle, 2 impact (transverse) grinding samples. The number of samples specified in the test material specification.

5.12 When the test piece has been worn to the specified number of cycles or other specified endpoints or failures should be evaluated using one or more of the following procedures.

6 Whisper Abrasion Tester Result Interpretation

6.1 Wear to Crack - Use the table below to the average number of repair cycles per specimen to be calculated:

The total number of cycles is the avgdivided to the nearest

10 cycles below 200

200 to 1000 times, no more than 25 times

1000 to 5000 times, no more than 50 times

5000 times and more than 100 times Secondary cycle

6.2 Percent breaking load loss - determined by test method D 5035 and Ravel band method The breaking load of the worn specimen during the cycle. The worn part of the test piece should be in the center of the crack zone and placed between the grips of the drawbench.

6.2.1 Under the same conditions, determine the breaking load of the uncoated portion of the same sample or control substance.

6.2.2 By calculating the breaking load loss, compare the breaking load of the worn test piece with that of the control test piece, and report the nearest 1.0% with formula 1: Learn more about Whisper Abrasion Testing Machine
