Applicable scope:

Used to measure the loop length of various woolen threads and knitted velvet coils. Used to verify whether the winding loop length of various yarn densities (counts) meets the standard.

Product details:

Spread the twisted yarn evenly, apply the specified tension, and determine whether the length of the yarn loop meets the standard according to the pointer instructions.

Structural features:

The column of the instrument is fixed on the base to fix the upper sleeve and ruler, and serves as a sliding rail for the lower sleeve. There are rollers installed on the upper and lower sleeves, and the measured yarn is wrapped on the rollers. The position of the upper sleeve fixed on the vertical shaft can be changed to adapt to different yarn lengths. Select weights of different masses according to the tension specified in the tested yarn standard, and apply tension to the tested yarn through a lever.

Testing method:

After moisture adjustment and balance, the upper end of the sample is placed on the knife shaped hanging plate of the yarn loop length measuring instrument, so that the coil is evenly spread. The lower end of the sample is placed on the knife shaped hanging plate under the yarn loop length measuring instrument, and a specified heavy hammer is hung to slowly lower the lower plate to a static state. Record the reading on the scale within half a minute, accurate to 0.1cm. The suspension weight (including the self weight of the lower blade plate of 1.4kg) is specified as follows:

50g twisted -2.4kg

62.5g twisted -3.0kg

125g twisted -6.0kg

Calculation method for the length L of the yarn loop: A=(L - π d)/2
