The Four Parts of Pig Farm Sewage Treatment Process

Author:QINSUN Released in:2024-01 Click:71

The sewage treatment process of pig farms is divided into four parts: pre-treatment, anaerobic process, biochemical treatment, and deep treatment.

1. Pre processing

The pre-treatment of pig farm wastewater usually adopts the method of "grid+solid-liquid separation" to separate the floating particles, suspended solids, and feces in the wastewater from the wastewater.

2. Anaerobic process

The main purpose of anaerobic technology is to remove organic matter from wastewater, and about 80% of organic matter can be removed in this process. Currently, anaerobic fermentation processes in pig farms mainly include UASB, USR (biogas fermentation tank), and black film biogas digesters.

3. Biochemical treatment

Due to the presence of urine in the fecal wastewater, the concentration of ammonia nitrogen is very high. In order to reduce the concentration of ammonia nitrogen, a two-stage AO process is usually used for treatment. In the AO reaction tank, wastewater undergoes ammonification, nitrification, and denitrification reactions, during which most of the organic pollutants, ammonia nitrogen, and nitrate nitrogen in the wastewater are removed.

4. Deep processing

In deep treatment, the addition of chemical agents causes phosphorus elements to form precipitates, thereby achieving the effect of phosphorus removal. In order to save costs, natural ditches, ponds, etc. can be transformed into oxidation ponds to establish artificial ecosystems.
