Principle of filter material filtration performance tester:
The air is first sent into the vertical dust generating pipeline to generate a dirty airflow filled with dust. Dust is dispersed with compressed air in the dust generator, forming a uniform concentration and evenly distributed throughout the vertical pipeline, flowing downwards. Some reach the horizontal pipeline and pass through the tested filter material with the suction airflow, exposing it to a constant airflow and dust concentration to simulate the operation of the cleanable filter material.
The dust forms powder, which leads to the increase of pressure drop. The differential pressure sensor detects the change of pressure drop before and after the test filter material in real time. Once the pressure drop reaches the preset value, the system releases the clean compressed air pulse towards the powder generated by the dirty air side, which will not affect the air flow for back blowing soot cleaning (online cleaning). Afterwards, the tested filter material re filtered the dust, repeating this cycle. The cleaning pulse must have precise timing and high repeatability, so that the pressure surface passing through the filter material is average and consistent each time.
The removed powder and the remaining dust fall down with the vertical airflow to the dust collector at the bottom of the dirty gas pipe. The instrument is equipped with a dirty gas filter to prevent dust from dispersing upstream of the dirty gas in the tested filter material, resulting in unclear dust concentration and rendering the measurement ineffective (especially important parameter: residual pressure drop value); This design achieves error free long-term operation without the need for frequent and comprehensive interruptions in measurement due to dust deposition cleaning.
