Scratch Principle:

This test method is used to test the ability of surface materials to resist damage caused by scratching fingers. According to the nails or other hard objects that may contact with the material, scraping fingers of various materials are used tot apply a certain pressure to the surface of the sample according to the specified direction, stroke and speed, and the scraping head and the sample make a relative movement, resulting in one-way, non-reciprocating linear scraping path, the scratches are kept parallel. The final assessment of the scratch sensitivity of the material, the color difference between the scratched area and the unscratched area, or the minimum scratching force when the sample surface is damaged.

 

Instrument features:

1. The instrument is composed of motor drive mechanism, scraper structure, sample clamping and fixing device, etc.

2. Scraper components include scraper brackets, scraper fingers, scraper sleeves, pressure devices (weights and weight support rods), etc.

3. The instrument can freely install, replace and disassemble scraper fingers of different specifications, and can be used under variouscarrying out a uniform linear scraping movement in one direction.
