Compliant with standards: ASTM D2130, BS 2043, DIN 53811, ISO 137, IWSTM 24, IWTO 8-6
Applicable scope:
Precision fiber slicer, used to make precise fiber cross-sectional specimens for further inspection or research under a microscope. Slices can be made for microscopic observation, testing, and analysis.
Product details:
Insert a bundle of degreased fibers into the fine hole in the upper part of the slicer. The insertion medium is suitable for fiber bundles and can be dried. The fiber bundle is placed on the discharger and a micrometer is used to determine the required thickness of the fiber sample, which can be cut into thin slices using a blade.
Representative samples have the following characteristics and can be used to identify fibers:
Fiber profile
Epidermal thickness
The type, pattern, contour, and position of the medullary layer
Distribution of pigments
Dye penetration
Operating instructions:
1. Turn the micrometer to the bottom;
2. Unscrew the two screws on the cover plate and remove the cover plate;
3. Thread the fiber through the small hole on the cover plate from below, exposing a small section;
4. Tighten the screws on the cover plate, push the push plate towards the small hole side, press the fiber tightly, and lock the nut on the push plate;
5. Use a blade to cut the fibers along the cover plate;
6. Rotate the micrometer to expose the required fiber thickness;
7. Drip fire cotton glue onto it;
8. Use a blade to cut the fibers along the cover plate.
Technical parameters:
1. Product weight: 3kg (6.6lb);
2. External dimensions: 75 x 150 x 100mm (L x W x H).
