Automotive Interior Artificial Leather Physical Performance Testing Indicators mainly include the following performance indicators.
1. Tensile load and elongation at break
Testing equipment: computerized tensile strength testing machine
Testing requirements:
1. The testing machine can display the breaking force and elongation;
2. The testing speed is (100±20)mm/min;
3. The testing machine can automatically record and plot the force-elongation curve.
1) Requirements for tensile load results:
Sample thickness is: <1mm, warp direction tensile load ( longitudinal) is ≥200N; the tensile load in the weft direction (transverse) ≥150N.
Sample thickness: 1mm ~ 1.4mm, chlongitudinal tensile width (longitudinal) ≥250N; weft tensile load (horizontal) ≥200N.
Test Sample thickness is: >1.4mm, tensile ad strength in warp (longitudinal) direction is ≥300N; weft direction tensile load (transverse) is ≥250N.
Sample thickness is: 0.7~1.2mm, longitudinal direction tensile load (longitudinal) is ≥250N) tensile load ≥150N; weft tensile load (transverse) ≥ 110N.
Sample thickness is > 1.2mm, warp tensile load (longitudinal) ≥ 200N; weft direction (transverse) Tensile load ≥ 160N.
2) Elongation at break result requirements:
Sample thickness: <1mm, tensile load in warp direction (longitudinal) ≥ 10 %; frame tensile load (horizontal) ≥ 25%.
Sample thickness: 1mm ~ 1.4mm, longitudinal tensile load (longitudinal) ≥ 15%; Weft tensile load (transverse) ≥ 30%.
Sample thickness: > 1.4 mm, warp tensile load (longitudinal) ≥ 20%; weft tensile load (horizontal) ≥ 35%.
Test sample thickness: 0.7 ~ 1.2mm, warp tensile load (longitudinal) ≥ 10%; weft tensile load (horizontal) ≥ 25%.

2. Tear load
Testing instrument: microcomputer tensile strength testing machine / tensile strength testing machine bilateral tear strength of leather
Test requirements:
1. Can display the maximum tear force value of the sample;
2 .The test speed is (100±20)mm/min uniform speed test.
Result requirements:
Thickness of the sample: <1mm, chain tensile load (longitudinal) ≥ 20N; Weft tensile load (horizontal) ≥ 10N.
Sample thickness: 1mm ~ 1.4mm, longitudinal tensile load (longitudinal) ≥ 25N; tensile load in weft direction (transverse) ≥ 15N.
The thickness of the sample is: > 1.4 mm and the tensile load in warp direction (longitudinal) is ≥ 20N; the tensile load in the weft (transverse) direction is ≥10N.
The thickness of the sample is: 0.7~1.2mm and the tensile load in the longitudinal direction is ≥20N. Longitudinal tensile load ≥ 15N; weft tensile load (horizontal)≥12N.
The thickness of the sample is >1.2mm, warp tensile load (longitudinal)≥20N; frame (horizontal) Tensile load ≥ 15N.
3. Color fastness to rubbing
Test instrument: color fastness to rubbing instrument leather
Test requirements:
Mass of la test head: 1000 g
Alkaline sweat: C6H9O2N3HCl?H2O (L-histidine hydrochloride hydrate) 0.5 g + Na2HPO4?12H2O5g (Na2HPO4? 12H2O 2.5 g) in 1 L of aqueous solution, adjust the pH value to 8.0 with NaOH solution (0.1 mol/L)
Gasoline: boiling point 80°C~110°C
Neutral soap: Neutral soap solution (2.5%)
Test results:

IV. Color fastness to light
Test instrument: Solar climate testing machine
Test requirements:
According to QB/T2727 standard method 3, water-cooled xenon arc lamp is used
Test requirements:
Standard temperature in darkness : (100±3) ℃
Test chamber temperature: (65±3) ℃
Relative humidity: 20%
Radiation intensity (wavelength 420 nm): 1.1 w/m2
filter Pass-through system: borosilicate/soda lime
Note: Endpoint is based on radiant energy , and the total radiant energy at the end point of sun exposure is 200KJ/m2. Use the gray sample card for fading for grading.
Test Results: Color fastness to light of sample ≥ grade 4
5. Fastness of coating adhesion
Test Equipment: Leather Coating Adhesion Strength Tester
Test Requirements:
1. Can display the maximum peel strength value;
2. The test speed is (100 ±5) mm/min uniform speed test;
3. It can automatically record the force-distance diagram (the force-distance diagram when the leather and the coating layer are 30-35mm apart).
Test results: Adhesion strength of leather covering ≥ 3.5N/10 mm
6. Abrasion resistance
Test Equipment: Leather Abrasion Tester /TABER Abrasion Tester
Test Requirements: Use CS-10 grinding wheel, load 1000g, 500 revolutions
Result requirements: The sample has no obvious damage or peeling
7. Folding fastness
Testing instrument: Testing machine of leather bending
Test requirements: At a temperature of 23°C, the test speed is 100 times /minute, the bending angle is 22.5°, and the bending is 25,000 times.
Result requirements: No cracks in the sample
8. Heat resistance and non-adhesiveness
Testing instrumentis: Precision oven
Test requirements:
1. Constant temperature oven with blowing device
2. Lay the PVC coatings of 2 samples on together , use 2 pieces of long, smooth glass with a width of about 60 mm to align it with the width of the sample, then sandwich the sample between two pieces of glass, then use a weight with a length and a bottom surface width of 60mm and a load of 30N to press the glass plate together. Place it in a constant temperature oven at (70 ± 2)°C, take it out after 24 hours, remove the heavy object and let it cool at room temperature for 1 hour. Then slowly peel off the two samples and observe if there is any abnormality such as damage to the surface of the film.
Result requirements: No abnormality on sample surface
9. Resistance to aging
Test instrument: Room ofaging test
Test requirements: heat aging test chamber with air blowing device, suspend the sample in the heat aging test chamber at a temperature of (100 ± 2) ℃, keep it for 24 hours under rotating condition blow air, take it out and let it cool down at room temperature for more than 0.5h, and then cut out a 60mm long sample and 20 mm wide in each sample.
Result Requirements: No cracks on sample surface

Test Instrument: Automotive Interior Flammability Testing Machine
Test Requirements: The horizontal leather burning test is to clamp the sample horizontally on the U-shaped support, ignite it in the combustion box for 15 seconds and ignite the flame at the free end of the sample. The test determines if or when theflame goes out, as well as the distance traveled by the sample and the time it takes to travel this distance.
The burning rate is expressed in millimeters per minute (mm/min) by the ratio between the measured burning distance and the time required to burn to this distance.
Result requirements: flame retardant sample ≤100mm/min
