How is the seat belt fixed point strength test performed?

As an important part of the automobile safety system, the car seat not only provides comfort to the occupants, but also provides safety protection to the occupants. Today, Xiaobian briefly introduces one of the strength tests of car seats: the seat belt fixed point strength test.

1. The seat belt fixed point strength test can be roughly divided into four types according to the number of fixed points and the direction of the seat:

1), Belt fixed point strength front three-point seat belt;

2), force of the fixed point of the front two-point seat belt;

3), force of the fixed point of the seat belt rear three-point seat belt;

4), the resistance of the fixed point of the rear-facing two-point seat belt.

2. Seat belt fixed point strength test method

According to different situations, there are clear test methods and evaluation standards in GB14167-2013:

1 ) For the three point seat belt, a test load of 13,500 N ± 200 N shall be applied to the upper and lower modules of the human body connected to the upper fixed point of the seat belt and the corresponding lower fixed point. If there is a reel at the upper attachment point, it must be tested together with the reel. For vehicles of categories M2 and N2 the test load shall be 6750 N ± 200 N. For M3 and N3 vehicles the test load shall be 4500 N ± 200 N.

2) For two-point seat belts, a test load of 22,250 N ± 200 N shall be applied to the lower human body module connected to the belt. For M2 and N2 vehicles, the test load shall be 11,100 N ± 200 N; for M3 vehicles andM3, the test load shall be 7400 N ± 200 N.

3) When performing the above test, a force equivalent to 20 times the mass of the seat assembly must be applied to each seat; for M2 and N2 vehicles, the load is 10 times equal to half the mass of the seat assembly; for M3 and N3 vehicles, the load must be equal to 6.6 times the mass of the seat assembly.

4) The seat belt fixed point test for rear-facing seats is the same as the loading method for forward-facing seats, and the load of test is the same as the value specified for vehicles of categories M3 and N3.

3. Safety belt fixed point strength test evaluation standard

1) If the specified force is continuously loaded within the specified time, the fixed point or surrounding area may undergo permanent deformation , including partial failure or cracking. During the test, the distaThe minimum distance between the effective lower fixed points must be 350 mm (minimum 240 mm in the middle of the rear row), and the distance between the two fixed points must be at least 120 mm from the central plane.

2) For category M1 vehicles, if the upper fixed point is on the seat (ISS), During the test, the forward movement of the upper effective fixed point must be included within the transverse plane of points R and C; for other vehicles, the forward movement of the upper effective fixed pThe point must not exceed the 10° forward tilt range of the plane of the point R.

3) After the unloading, it must be ensured that the occupants can evacuate the vehicle by manually operating the moving device and the locking device. That is, the manual control mechanism can be adjusted once so that the occupants can evacuate the vehicle.
