Applicable scope:

The Glow Wire Test is a simulation test project using a non flame ignition source program as specified in IEC60695-2-10:2000-IEC60695-2-13:2000 (Glow Wire/Hot Wire, Basic Test Methods, Glow Wire Test Equipment and General Test Procedures) and UL746A, IEC829, DIN695, VDE0471 and other standards.

The hot wire tester heats the electric heating wire of the specified material (4NI80/CR20) and shape with high current to the test temperature (550 ℃ -960 ℃) for minutes, and then vertically heats the sample at the specified pressure (1.0N) for 30 seconds. The fire hazard of the finished electrical and electronic equipment is determined based on the ignition time of the sample and the bedding material. The ignition property, ignition temperature (GWIT), flammability and flammability index (GWFI) of solid insulation materials and other solid combustible materials are measured.

The hot wire tester is suitable for the research and production departments of electrical and electronic products and their components, such as lighting equipment, low-voltage appliances, household appliances, machine tool appliances, motors, electric tools, electronic instruments, electrical instruments, information technology equipment, electrical connectors and laying parts. It is also suitable for the industries of insulation materials, engineering plastics, or other solid combustible materials.

The hot wire tester adopts an integrated design of the test box and control part, which is convenient for on-site installation and debugging. The outer shell and important components of the test chamber are made of stainless steel, which is resistant to smoke and gas corrosion; Adopting a thyristor automatic control system to automatically adjust the current and achieve precise temperature control; Time and temperature digital display, easy to observe and record, stable and reliable to use.

The main performance characteristics of the equipment:

1. Adopting a suction relay to control the depth of the hot wire burning into the sample, with adjustable function, and equipped with a measuring gauge, it has the characteristics of accuracy and speed.

2. Using imported thermocouples from the UK (4437951), the temperature control is accurate. We use well-known brands such as Omron relays, timers, Melange leakage protectors, and red wave buttons to ensure long-term stable operation of the equipment!

3. When the hot wire contacts the tested object, the equipment continues to be powered on. After the sample car is returned, the current is cut off within 2 seconds to ensure accurate testing

4. Equipped with a mesh adapter sample fixture for easy clamping of irregular and small specimens.

5. The lighting fixtures adopt standard explosion-proof lamps, which comply with safety standards.

6. Using a Masano sealed exhaust fan to ensure the sealing of the box. And the ventilation effect is strong!

7. The box is made of 1.2mm stainless steel, which is beautiful and elegant!

Technical parameters:

2. Temperature range: 500-1000 ℃, digital adjustable;

3. Temperature error: ± 10 ℃ (500-750 ℃); ± 15 ℃ (750-1000 ℃), temperature measurement instrument accuracy ± 0.5 level;

4. Temperature sensor: Φ 0.5K armored thermocouple, imported thermocouple;

5. Apply pressure to the sample: 0.8N~1.2N, and limit the depth of pressing to at least 7mm;

6. Timing range: adjustable within the range of 0-99 minutes and 99 seconds;

7. And it has a timer with ignition time (Ta, generally set to 30 according to standard requirements), second holding time (Ti), and flame extinguishing time (Te);

9. Igniting cushion layer: 10mm thick white pine wood board, covered with 12g/m2~30g/m2 standard silk paper, 200mm ± 5mm below the burning wire;

10. The instrument is easy to operate, the temperature measurement system is stable and reliable, and it automatically compensates for temperature;

Operation process:

1. Preparation before operating the hot wire testing machine

2. Before use, be sure to read the instructions carefully and follow the instructions to operate in sequence;

3. Do not use accessories not provided by the original factory to avoid danger;

4. The hot wire testing machine is placed in a room with oil removal ventilation equipment (or in a small laboratory with a dedicated ventilation hood) to facilitate the discharge of exhaust gas after the test.

5. Hang two matching weights with copper wire (already connected to the sample holder) under the support plate through the two pulleys on the left end of the bracket (passing through the corresponding small holes).

6. According to the standard requirements, be knowledgeable and clamp the sample.

7. Adjustment of proximity switches

A. Loosen the nut that fixes the proximity switch and move it left and right;

B. Press the "left travel button" and the car will automatically move forward. When the sample comes into contact with the hot wire, move the proximity switch by hand to stop the car from moving forward and fix the proximity switch.

C. Press the "heating" button and adjust the current adjustment knob. According to the requirements of the sample, adjust the appropriate current value and check whether the temperature meets the required temperature for testing.

When the sample comes into contact with the hot wire head, the limit electromagnet is released and can only move forward by 7mm under a 1N weight tension

At the end of the experiment, pop out the heating button and then turn the current adjustment knob to the minimum.
