Experimental test method of fabric abrasion tester

Author:QINSUN Released in:2023-02 Click:129

The fabric abrasion tester is mainly used for testing textiles, outer layers of shoes, linings of shirts, pants of shirts and similar fabrics. It can be used simultaneously for dry rub and wet rub tests. Under a known pressure, a circular sample The cyclic plane motion on the standard abrasive is performed in the form of a Lissajous graph synthesized by two simple harmonic motions perpendicular to each other. Wear resistance is judged by the fact that the sample must not produce holes within the specified number of cycles.

1. Test conditions:
1. Room temperature: (23±2°C)
2. Technical parameters:
(1) Number of stations: 9 ;
(2)Count range: 0~999999 times
(3)Maximum stroke: horizontal 60.5 ± 0.5mm vertical 24 ± 0.5 mm
(4) Mass under pressure:
a Container: 200±1g
b. Garment sample weight: 395±2g
c. Sample furniture decoration weight: 594±2g
d. vstainless steel linder blade: 260±1g
(5) Effective friction diameter of grinding block:
A type 200g (1.96N) friction head (9KPa)¢28.8-0.084mm
B type 155g (1.52N) ) Friction head (12KPa) ¢90 -0.10mm
(6) Relative moving speed between holder and grinding table: 20-70r/min (adjustable)
(7) Weight of sample loading hammer: 2385 ±10g

Second, consumables for the configuration:
(1) 9 sets of sample holders;
(2) 9 pieces of 9Kpa and 12KPa weights each;
(3) One set Φ38mm and Φ140mm samplers;
(4)One piece support plate for Φ38mm and Φ140mm sampler;

(6)SM50 One set of standard photos;
(7) A set of EMPA standard pilling photos and a piece of SM-25 standard abrasive cloth 1.6 m × 5 m;
(8) A set of standard foam rubber 1.5 m × 0.5 m (4 pcs/set);
(9) One piece standard felt sheet;
(10)20 pcs Φ90mm felt disc;
(11)50 pcs Φ38mm and Φ140mm sample sheets each;
(12 ) Other necessary accessories recommendedand by the manufacturer.

3. Experimental steps:
1. The sample is parked in the laboratory environment for more than 8 hours.
2. Cut a test piece from the flat part of the test piece. If it is an insole, it must be cut down to the transfer printing area.
3. Remove the load and load shaft from the test machine.
4. Remove the top plate and test fixture.
5. Sample device: unscrew the fixing ring on the test fixture, remove the sample compact, put the sample in the test fixture base, and put a piece of sample between the sample and the test fixture base Gasket, and then put the sample compact on the Place the specimen on the gasket and fix it with a retaining ring.
6. Wool felt and abrasive cloth device: loosen the fixing screw and fixing ring, place the wool felt on the base and spread the abrasive cloth, press a 2.5 kg pressure plate in the center of the abrasive cloth, iInstall Reinstall the retaining ring and tighten the set screw.
7. Replace the top plate and insert the load shaft (12KPa) through the round hole in the top plate. 8. Place the test fixture with the sample facing down on the base fixture, adjust the circular groove of the test fixture to align with the load axis, and insert the load axle into the circular groove of the test fixture. 9. Set the number of times according to the standard, start the switch and start the test.
10. After reaching the set number of times, it will automatically stop and remove the sample to determine the result.

4. Precautions:
1. The rubbing cloth cannot be used repeatedly and a rubbing cloth must be replaced each time a test is completed.
2. Wool felt can be used repeatedly until the surface is worn or stained.
3. The insole must be dressed first and then the Martindale abrasion test must be carried outfed.
