Common Vortex Flow Meter Faults and Methods

1. There is fluid flowing through the line but no output signal or no instantaneous flow display:

1. First check if the circuit wiring and supply voltage are correct;

2. Confirm piping There is flow in the medium, and it is above the lower limit of measurable flow;

3. Check if the setting of the small la flow cut-off value is too large;

4. If the circuit wiring and power supply voltage are correct, turn the sensitivity potentiometer and magnification potentiometer clockwise. watch until the end. If the flow rate is still not displayed and the cumulative amount does not change, there is a problem with the circuit board and the amplifier board needs to be replaced; if there is a signal output, check whether the fluid flow in the pipeline exceeds the measurable flow range of the d sensorvortex flow; if the fluid If the flow rate is within the measurable range, it means that the sensitivity of the temperature probe of the sensor is low and the sensitivity needs to be readjusted;

5. Check whether the sensor is good or not . Remove the two sensing head leads from the amplifier board and use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the two sensing head leads and the resistance of the two sensing head leads to the hull respectively. Both must be greater than 2MΩ, otherwise the sensing head must be replaced;

6. If there is no problem with the sensor, check if the pressure transmitter and thermal resistance platinum are damaged. If there is no problem, it can be assumed that the smart flow totalizer is damaged.

2. There is no fluid flowing in the pipeline but there is signal output or instantaneous flow is displayed:

1. First confirm that \'hethere is no fluid flow or disturbance in the pipeline, and check whether the vibration intensity of the pipeline is too high If the vibration is large, please use the following methods to absorb the vibration: install a fulcrum 2D piping downstream of the flowmeter; on the principle of meeting the requirements of straight pipes, install excessive pipes;

2. The sensitivity potentiometer is adjusted counterclockwise until there is no signal of output or that the instantaneous flow returns to zero. When adjusting the potentiometer, it should be as slow as possible. When adjusting the 5 degree angle, stop for more than 10 seconds to observe if the output returns to zero.

3. Signal output is erratic, unstable, or instantaneous flow is unstable:

1. First check whether the fluid flow in the pipeline exceeds the flow range measurable sensor;

2. If the fluid flow is within the measurable range, check whether the front and rear straight pipe sections meet the requirements, and confirm whether the fluid in the pipeline is in a stable flow state, and there is no there is no two-phase flow or pulsating flow in the pipeline;

3. Check whether the vibration intensity of the pipeline is too large, if it is too large, please solve it according to the method of fault 2;

4. Check whether there is a strong electrical interference signal around the instrument, if there is, reinforce the shielding and grounding. earth ;

5. Check if the sensor is stained, wet, damaged or if the lead wires are in poor contact. If so, please clean or replace the sensor and tighten the lead wires;

6. Check whether the sensor installation is concentric Or the joint protrudes into the pipe, if there is an installation situation, adjust the diameter ininside gasket;

7. Check sensor sensitivity and adjust sensitivity; 8. Check whether the process flow is stable, adjust the installation position;

9. Check whether there is winding on the generator body;

10 Check if there is cavitation in the pipe, if there is a decrease in flow, increase the pressure in the pipe.

Fourth, the measurement error is large:

1. First check whether the power supply voltage of the flow meter is too high;

2. Check the instrument\'s analog conversion circuit for zero drift or Span setting is wrong, if there is, please correct the zero point and scale of the beach.

3. Check for problems such as 1, 2 and 5 in fault 3;

4. Check if the instrument has exceeded the verification period;

5. Check the pipeline for leaks.

V. Flow tube leak:

1. Checkif the pressure in the tube is too high;

2. Check whether the pressure rating is selected correctly, if not, please choose a sensor with a higher pressure rating;

3. Check whether the seal is damaged;

4. Check whether the sensor is corroded, and if so, take anti-corrosion and protective measures.

6. Abnormal sensor hissing:

1. Check if the low flow rate is too high, causing strong vibration. If so, please adjust the flow or replace a large instrument; 2. Check whether there is cavitation, if so, please adjust the flow and increase the pressure of liquid flow;

3. Check whether the generator body is loose.

7. The temperature displayed by the instrument is wrong:

1. Check whether the wiring is wrong or disconnected;

2. Measure its resistance value at approximately 1080 ohms (at room temperature);

3. Consultz the manufacturer based on the measured content.

Eight, the meter displays the pressure error:

1. Check whether the wiring is incorrect or broken;

2. Measure its resistance at room temperature at approximately 5000 ohms;

3. Consult the manufacturer according to the content measured.
