The UV Aging Test is a UV Aging Test Chamber that uses a fluorescent UV lamp to simulate the destructive effect of sunlight on durable materials. Unlike xenon arc lamps, fluorescent UV lamps are electrically similar to ordinary cold fluorescent lamps for illumination, but produce more ultraviolet light than visible or infrared light.

For different exposure applications, there are different types of lamps with different spectra to choose from.
