Schober Abrasion Tester/Car Interior Material Abrasion Tester adopts the test method of rotational abrasion and is used to test the abrasion resistance of the fabric, usually used for testing automotive interior materials.

Instructions for testing:
For fabrics, abrasion resistance is an important indicator to measure their performance and durability. During the test, the Schober Abrasion Tester/Car Interior Material Abrasion Detector applies friction to the rotating sample in a tangential direction through friction components to measure the abrasion resistance of the sample.
It can be used to test the appearance change of the sample after the friction or wear test. It is a test method recommended by DIN 53863.2, GME Standard 60345, GMW Standard 3283 and VW/Audi Zentral-Norm PV 3908 .

Product structure:
The design of the instrument is compact and sturdy, including a clamping device for an obtuse angle taper chuck, a loading platform for fixing the friction head and a control and drive unit. All parts are reasonably well developedorp and easy to operate. For ease of sample preparation and light clamping, the instrument is equipped with a ring wrench with adjustable scale to test the expansion height. During the test, the sample is placed on the face of the friction head and a rotational motion is applied for friction. The friction area of ​​the sample is about 50 cm².

Operating instructions:
The operating menu is displayed on a touch screen and manual or automatic operation can be selected. After every 100 friction cycles, the instrument automatically stops to allow the operator to change the direction of rotation.
