QINSUN interprets some common troubleshooting methods of Brinell hardness testers-

Since the Brinell hardness tester can measure the hardness value of a wide range of samples, it is widely used in production to determine the Brinell hardness value of unhardened steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals and soft bearing alloys.

This article takes HB3000 Brinell hardness tester as an example to talk about some common faults and troubleshooting methods.

1. The load error exceeds ±1.0% or is unstable

The cause of this failure and the troubleshooting method:

(1 ) The force point blade is loose, the force point blade should be adjusted and tightened;

(2) The wear of the force point blade and the force point support will increase the load error to varying degrees, and the blade needs to be reworked;

(3) The adjustment block on the load lever If the position is not appropriate, it may be moved forward or backward depending on the situation and then fixedfirmly after adjustment;

(4 ) The compression spring is rusted, which increases the friction with the final shaft and the main shaft bushing, and should be cleaned and rusted parts and apply protective oil or replace it.

(5) The load is not stable, and there are shocks and vibrations, and the factors causing instability should be excluded.

2. The charging speed cannot be controlled within the specified time

The charging speed is too fast or too slow, mainly because the oil viscosity of the reducer is too low or too high, it must be cleaned and slowed down, and replace the reducer oil.

3. The measured hardness Brinell durometer maintenance value is inconsistent with the indication value of the standard hardness block

The cause of this failure and the troubleshooting method:

(1) The hardness tester is not installed horizontally andt the hardness tester should be adjusted to the level;

(2) If the surface of the steel ball is not smooth or the diameter exceeds the tolerance, use a micrometer to select a quail of lified steel and replace it;

(3) The error of the indentation measuring device is too large and the allowable error of the indentation measurement should be adjusted to make it ≤±0.5%;

(4) The weight cannot be placed vertically and the weight If the scale rubs against the back cover of the durometer, check whether the hanging ring is hooked on the key blade and whether the hanging arrow is straight, if not, hook the hanging ring on the key blade and straighten the hanging arrow;

(5) The verticality of the main shaft and the test platform, the coaxiality of the axis of the main shaft and the axis of the lifting screw is out of tolerance, and the verticality of main shaft and platformIn the test procedure, the coaxiality of the main shaft axis and the lifting screw axis should be analyzed according to the situation Adjustment.

4. Repeated loading and unloading of the hardness tester

The length of the ejector rod needs to be adjusted and fixed;(2) The inverter is not installed correctly and the movable deflector cannot touch the inverter. If the inverter pin does not reverse, the installation position of the inverter needs to be adjusted.

5. Stop when all the hardness tester loads are added

The reason for this kind of failure is that the contact point of the inverter has burns and ablation , resulting in poor contact at the contact point. Clean and polish or replace with a new changeover switch.

6. When the key switch is pressed, the hardness tester does not move, but there is a buzzing sound

The cause of this failureIf the motor is brokenphased, check whether the maintenance of the Brinell hardness tester of the power supply is normal, whether the power plug is plugged in, whether the cable is open, whether the power switch is in good condition, whether the wiring of the motor is firmly connected, if the motor coil is burned out, and if the direction is reversed. Whether the switch contacts are in good contact, etc., must be ruled out depending on the situation.
