Volatile substances in automobile interior materials are heated and volatilize into the air. When hot air encounters a cooling object, the volatiles condense and the liquid adheres to the cooling object. The nebulization process is the process of volatilization-condensation of substances.
Put the sample in the misting cup, cover the misting cup with a sealing ring and a glass ring (or a piece of weighted aluminum foil) and install a cooler on it. The misting cup is heated in a thermostat. The sample is heated in the misting dish, the volatile matter it contains begins to volatilize and the evaporated gas condenses on the glass plate which has been cooled. After the condensation process is complete, remove the glass plate, placekeep it in the state specified in the standard for a specified time, measure the gloss value of the glass plate with a gloss meter and compare it with the initial gloss value of the glass plate before testing, so as to obtain the material\'s fogging tested value; or use a light transmitter to measure the parallel light transmission coefficient of the glass plate after testing, and compare it with the parallel light transmission coefficient of the glass plate before testing to obtain haze glass of the material tested.
The sample is heated in the misting cup and the evaporated gas condenses on the aluminum foil which has been cooled. Once the condensation process is complete, remove the aluminum foil, weigh its mass with an electronic balance and subtract the mass of the aluminum foil itself to obtain the mass of the atomized condensate of the material under test, the cocondensation component.
