What problems should be paid attention to in the fabric random pilling test?

Author:QINSUN Released in:2023-07 Click:31

The textile random pilling test is used to detect the pilling properties of textiles. In general, there are different standards for textile pilling experiments and many different physical test methods. The engineers of Standard Group (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. will focus on the parameters and experimental precautions of the random pilling test.

1. Standards Compliance:
ASTM D3512, GB/T 4802.4, ISO 12945.3, JIS L1076-D

2. Scope of application:
It is used to test the pilling performance of fabrics. The test sample and the short gray cotton rub against the cork lining in the box under the influence of the rotation and tumbling of the pilling box impeller. After the specified test time, the instrument generates an alarm reminder and terminates the test.

Third, product details:
1. Technical parameters:
(1) Sample test chamber: 4 pcs
(2) Each test chamber is equipust with rotating stainless steel blades
(3) The test chamber should be equipped with good airtightness
(4) Equipped with digital electronic counter
(5) Equipped with end-of-test alarm device
(6) Equipped with pressure gauge and timer
(7) Drum specification: 146*152mm
(8) Cork liner specification: 452*146*1.5mm (L*W*H)
( 9) Bar specification: L=121mm
(10) Speed: 1200rpm
(11) Compressed air: 0.014-0.021MPa
2. Instrument configuration:
(1) Standard control card
(2) Cork pad: 50 sheets/pack
(3) Gray cotton wick: 9 meters
>(4) Silent air compressor (optional)
(5) Other accessories recommended by the manufacturer

Four, precautions:
(1) Pay attention to cleaning the test room (test room) before and after the test.
(2) Samples of the same sample should be tested in different test chambers.
(3) The air pressure of each test chamber should reach 14-21 KPa, and the test chamber should have a good airtighthave ness.
(4) During the operation, the test chamber should be checked regularly. When the test is wound on the impeller it will not tip over or get caught on the bottom of the chamber and the side will be stationary. Close the air valve, shut off the air flow, stop the test and remove the sample. Record the unexpected shutdown or other abnormal conditions of the test
(5) When the sample is stuck on the impeller, stop the test, remove the sample and clean the impeller with a cleaning solution or water, and continue the test after it dries.
(6) Use laboratory standard fabric (the fabric used to calibrate whether the pilling box or cork liner is contaminated) to support the test.
