Troubleshooting Solutions for Direct Reading Spectrometers

Author:QINSUN Released in:2023-06 Click:51

When using the direct reading spectrometer, one often encounters some small defects. When the manufacturer can\'t arrive in time, we can try to solve them by ourselves. Some problems are really simple.

1. The instrument worked normally, but suddenly all elements are low.

This situation is usually not a problem with the spectrometer hardware. You can check whether the lens of the instrument is polluted and whether the ash is discharged smoothly; what is the quality of argon gas? In particular, the quality of argon has a great influence.

2. The shutter of the direct reading spectrometer leaks, and it still leaks after repair, what to do?

It\'s okay, it\'s pneumatic, as long as you take it off often and blow it, it\'s fine, but be careful where you screw it (the one that enters the empty chamber), otherwise we will be mistaken. The optical path; the position of theoptical fiber has nothing to do!

3. In our direct-reading spectrometer, there is always a black circle near the excitation point after excitation of the steel sample. Is there another possibility that argon gas is impure?

(1) In this case, the spark table usually needs to be cleaned, especially the exhaust pipe, which may be caused by the spark table outlet pipe being blocked from argon and bad exhaust.

(2). If the black circle is darker in color and widens, the sample may not be flat or half of the sample may leak when placed. In addition, if the excitation conditions change, the color of the dots after excitation may be abnormal. Darkness can be greater when the excitation energy is great.

(3) There is also a carbon deposition phenomenon that can stimulate electricity. The main reasons are air leaks, wear on the light table and irregular patterns that can cause air leaks. The distance between the electrode you changed and the style is not suitable, mainly because the electrode is on the top, causing carbon deposits.

4. What should be taken into account when changing the oil of the vacuum pump of the direct reading spectrometer?

After stopping, unscrew the oil drain screw on the bottom side of the vacuum pump to drain the old oil (if it is dirty, rinse it out) and screw the oil drain screw back oil drain. Unscrew the screw of the oil filler hole at the top of the vacuum pump and inject new oil. (If flushing, do not tighten the screw of the oil discharge port when filling oil.) It should be noted that oil should not be injected into the pump from the port exhaust. Another thing to be careful of is that the vacuum must be released beforeDo not change the oil, otherwise the oil will be sucked in.

5. Can\'t negative high voltage be added to our unit\'s direct reading spectrometer? How to cope?

The main reason why the high negative pressure cannot be added is that the vacuum degree of the instrument is not sufficientUgh. Check for air leaks, which are usually accompanied by a decrease in the degree of vacuum.

6. The excitation energy of the instrument varies a lot every day, and the analysis is not very stable. What should I do?

This is a relatively complicated problem, but many of these situations are not caused by the instrument itself, but caused by the working environment of the direct-reading spectrometer. Pay attention to the laboratory temperature and humidity, another reason, may also be grounding. Therefore, check if the ground wire meets the manufacturer\'s requirements.nt.
