1. Wheel position

The installation position of the rubber when tied to the center of the door -sample, requiring strict values. The lateral distance between the fixed edge of the left wheel and the center of the specimen holder should be 25.8 mm (11/64 inch); the distance from the same point to the fixed edge of the right wheel should be 27.4 mm (15/64 inch). Since the emery friction wheel has little relation to the center position of the specimen holder, the requirements are not very strict. Therefore, it is recommended to take an average distance of 26.6 mm (13/64 inches) between the fixed position of the wheels on both sides and the center of the sample holder.

2. Wheel bearings

The two pairs of friction wheel bearings are installed on the free end of the axle arm to support the friction wheel. When driven by the index finger to make it rotate rapidlyt, it must not block. However, there are no strict requirements for the degree of rotational freedom of bearings.

 3. Platform position

 The vertical distance between the top of the sample holder and the center of the fulcrum of the arm of the abrasion resistance instrument must be 25 mm (1 inch). This dimension avoids errors that can occur when installing stops or similar devices that support the sample stage. For the platform to maintain the position specified above, all components must fit together. The sample platform should rotate on its surface. If it cannot rotate this way and tends to wobble, the holder and adapter, or stopper used to support the sample holder, should be replaced.

4. Platform speed

The platform rotates at approximately 70 rpm.

5. Load adjustment, counterweight

Test bead selection:
