Product Description:

The taber5750 Linear Abrasion Tester is used to test profiled and polished surfaces such as plastics, rubber, leather, textiles, electroplating, automotive parts , freely disassembled components, paints, print samples, etc. abrasion resistance performance.

Scope of application:

Applicable to dry abrasion and wet abrasion testing to evaluate wear resistance and resistance to product scratches (single or multiple scratches) and color transfer (usually rubbing discoloration or rubbing resistance) and so on.

General Installation:

1. Unpack the instrument and make sure that no components are missing.

2. Close the toggle latch on the load bar (as shown in Figure 1).

3. Attach the rocker to the load barand tighten the screw with a 9/64 hex socket.

The tilt bearing has been adjusted at the factory, see page 23 for further adjustment.

4. Install the grinding head bracket with the Allen key on the underside of the rocker.

5. Use the rocker lock to lock the rocker arm suspension.

NOTE: To prevent damage to the rocker arm when installing the sanding head holder, the inner liner of the rocker arm is made of nylon.

Rocker arm locking device

The rocker arm lock facilitates the replacement of the grinding head, sample cleaning and observation is more conducive to the replacement of the grinding head holder or other accessories.

When using, lift the grinding head near the rocker bearing, then buckle the loop on the bottom side of the grinding head holder.

WARNING: Please hold the toggle when not in use. not locked to prevent it from accidentally falling. Poor sample or damaged grinding head.

Install the fuse to adjust the voltage

1. Place two 2A fuses in the fuse box under the power supply on the rear of the fuselage .

2. Follow the arrow on the fuse box to select the required voltage installation method.

3. Depending on the selected voltage installation method, connect the fuse box in the voltage converter.

Start the power supply

1. Connect the device to the 110V or 230V power supply depending on the local voltage. For the convenience of the user, we offer two types of threads. Please select the one that c2. Set the operating distance

The Linear Abrasion Tester has five kinds of operating distances, which can be manually adjusted if necessary. A reference label on the inside of the cover indicates the barrel length for the small hole in the drive crank.

Set Operation Mode

The Linear Abrasion Instrument has two modes: working mode and surface cutting mode. Press the "MODE" button to switch between the two modes. The first line of the LCD screen indicates the current mode.

Adjusting the operating speed

The control panelof the linear abrasion instrument is set with an "operating speed preset knob". Users can set running speed and change it manually while the program is running. The speed adjustment range is "2-75" cycles per minute. The abraser saves the last setting as the current speed. This speed is the default speed of the instrument until changed by the operator. The current speed is displayed on the screen.

The following instructions for use apply to both execution mode and surface finish mode. The device must be in "non-running state" for the following setting procedures.

Preset Speed: 6 speed preset buttons are set on the dashboard. 2, 15, 25, 30, 40 or 60 cycles per minute. Press the appropriate button to adjust the speed.

Manual Speed ​​Adjustment: The Next Steps pallow the operator to set the operating speed of the instrument to other values.

RUN Mode: This is the normal test condition.

1. Turn off the device.

2. Lock the rocker arm on it, see "Using the lock".

3. Open the lid.

4. Loosen the crank bolt counterclockwise, do not remove the connecting rod bolt.

5. Lift the bolt and connecting rod out of the crank.

6. Then select the hole according to the desired pitch of the handle, insert the screw into the hole and tighten.

7. Close the lid.

8. Turn off a power supply.
