Product Description:
The Martindale Abrasion Tester can test the abrasion resistance and pilling behavior of various fabrics. Under a certain pressure, the sample and the specified abrasive are subjected to continuous reciprocating friction, and the degree of wear and pilling is evaluated by comparison with standard parameters. The one made by our company Shanghai Qianshi Precision Electromechanical Technology Co.,Ltd. The independently developed and manufactured Martindale Abrasion Tester is controlled via a touch screen and is equipped with a comprehensive programmer that can pre-program batches and total counts and set the count for each test head individually.

Preparation of samples:
1. Selection of samples
In order to be able to provide representative samples, it is necessary to use different The parts of the warp and weft yarns to be selected require particular attention in certain models with particular properties. For example, the selected pattern of the printed fabric must contain the entire patternto avoid missing certain friction-sensitive parts; the weightebe should keep a certain distance from the edge of the width of the door. Additionally, the number of samples selected also affects the accuracy and repeatability of the test. The greater the number of samples tested, the greater the representativeness and the higher the precision. On the other hand, if the number is too small, the randomness of the test results increases and the reliability decreases. At least 3 patterns must be selected.
2. Sample pre-treatment
Since the fabric is wrapped and rolled up before it is sent for inspection, it is in a dense state. For best testing, it should be placed in a standard flat stretch for a period of time to allow the tissue being tested to recover from the stretched state. If the pretreatment is absent, the fabric will be in a state of tension and the abrasion resistance will deteriorate, affecting thea precision of the test.
