Martindale Abrasion Tester is used in the General Abrasion Resistance Standard for Leather Abrasion Resistance Test Method, Martindale Abrasion Tester, Leather Abrasion Resistance Different standards on which to base the test : BS-3424, ASTM-D4966, DIN-53863, SATRA, TM31, ISO-20344.
Brief introduction of the required product: abrasion resistance and pilling tester, which can detect the abrasion resistance and pilling performance of various structural fabrics. The sample is subjected to continuous low-pressure reverse rubbing with a certain friction material, and the degree of wear and pilling can be compared with the standard parameters for evaluation. The instrument uses a movable sample fixing component, which can remove a certain friction sample at any time without affecting other samples. It not only realizes the rapid and independent detection of the sample, but also ensures theaccuracy of the simultaneous measurement of friction. It is a fixing method approved by BSEN ISO12947-1:1999. The instrument is equipped with an electronic pre-set batch timer and a total counter, a sample holder and a loader (according to international test standards).

Basic principle:
The Martindale Abrasion Tester is vmanufactured according to the design principle of J.G. Martindale and in accordance with the specifications of the Wool Industry Research Association, a test device is produced. It uses the standard wool felt as the friction object to rub the tested items such as cloth, etc. Of course, the friction object can be changed according to different test methods and different requirements --- standard wool felt, other materials such as sandpaper, etc., to test the leather resistance, degree of abrasion or discoloration. The object under test is clamped on a cylinder, and a standard weight (determined according to the test method) is pressed on the friction object, driven by the vertical and horizontal eccentric wheels, to produce a Lissajous curve, the purpose is to perform a friction test in several directions For general footwear materials, In the wearing friction effect test, most of them are tested simultaneously with dry and wet methods to determine the impact ofrain on the upper material of the shoe or the influence of sweat on the inner lining of the shoe.
Test Method:
The Martindale Abrasion Tester can test a minimum of four samples at a time, and a maximum of nine samples at a time. Each test position consists of a protruding round base with a flat ring to hold abrasives etc. The object under test is clamped onto the cylinder and a load (weight) is added to it. If no weight is added, the pressure generated by the weight of the flat plate on the friction object about 0.1342Kg/cm2 or 13.16Kpa. Different test methods, fixtures with different weights (weights) can be selected. The test sample seat is driven by the flat plate to produce a Lissajous figure movement direction, but the axis of each test sample seat is on the flat plate. For the free rotation method, clamp a graphical sample of the tested objectthe fixture, you place a specified weight on it, and then the chuck clamps the tested object and contacts the standard abrasive material (cloth, sandpaper, etc. determined by different test standards) below, resulting in 1. Lissajous Graphics. And produce a multi-directional friction. Each time a Lissaru figure is completed, the counter jumps 16 times and the time is approximately 20 ± 1 second.
Operation Process:
1. Turn on the power and turn on the power switch on the side of the instrument;
2. Check the positioning of the three bearing pulleys ;
3. Set the required number of revolutions;
4. Place the sample and abrasive in the sample holder or on the sanding table according to the requirements of the different method standards;
5. Press the button to start the test;
6. After setting the speed, the machine beeps and stops;
7 At the end of the test, make a note of the test itnumber of revolutions.
