Experimental process:

1. Sample production:

(1) Pre-treatment: If pre-treatment is needed, the sample can be washed or dry-cleaned according to themethod agreed to by both parties. (Pretreatment is recommended to protect the friction surface of the pilling box and the sample tube from residual lubricants or finishes on the fabric)

(2) Cut 4 samples from the fabric sample , the size is 125mm*125mm, and another piece of fabric sample of the same size is cut as a comparison sample required for evaluation. 2 samples are folded inwards along the longitudinal front and 2 samples are folded inwards along the transverse front and sewn with a sewing machine at a distance of 12 mm from the edge.

(3) Turn the suture sample over, front side facing out. Cut 6mm ports on both ends of the sample tube to eliminate seam distortion. Place the sample on the polyurethane sample loading tube and secure it with PVC tape (ensure that 6mm of theboth ends of the polyurethane are exposed and the length of the tape must not exceed 1.5 times the circumference of the polyurethane tube).

2. Experimental steps:

(1) Clean the pilling box;

(2) Put 4 sets of planting tubes into the box, close cover firmly, and dial the counter up to the required number of revolutions;

(3) Preset the number of rotations. number of chords. In the absence of agreement, the woolen fabric is turned over 7200 turns, and the fine imitation cloth is turned over 14400 turns;

(4) Start the pilling box, after the test is completed, remove the sample, take out the suture and perform the sample evaluation.

3. Evaluation of the level of pilling:

Under the standard light source, compare the rating with the standard sample, that is, several evaluators compare the sample with the standard sample in the evaluation box According to the comparative analysis,take the result as the pilling level of the sample. The sample photo method adopts five grades, which are 1 to 5 respectively. The smaller the grade, the greater the pilling, and the better the anti-pilling performance.
