Introduction to Standards and Testing Procedures for Perspiration Color Fastness Tester

Author:QINSUN Released in:2023-10 Click:36

1. Purpose and scope of the test Color fastness to perspiration tester

1. This test method is used to judge the perspiration fastness of colored fabrics and can be used for dyeing, printing and other coloring. Textile fibers, yarns, and various fabrics can also be used to test dyes on fabrics.

2. This type of testing is linked to limited field research. Perform acid and alkali tests before carrying out the test, then the research results show that the alkaline test can be canceled.

 3. Although this method has eliminated the alkalinity test, the alkaline test is still required in some specific situations or uses in foreign trade. Alkaline testing in these situations should be carried out in accordance with prescribed methods.

2. Testing Procedures of Transpi Color Fastness Testerration

1. Immerse the test sample in the solution you have just prepared for 15 to 30 minutes. Stir and squeeze occasionally so that the sample is thoroughly wet. Since the fabric is difficult to wet, the dyed test sample and the undyed test sample fabric should be used repeatedly alternately in the test solution and on the pad dryer to make the wet sample. They never get soggy.

2. Once the sample* has been soaked, perform a final operation on the spinner so that the wet weight of the sample is 2 to 2.5 times the original dry weight. Use a dye sample of the same size on the back of the wet dyed sample. The multi-fiber test fabric is fixed and if necessary the other side is fixed with undyed raw materials, but they should go through the pad dryer together and the combined weight should be 2-2.5 times the pdry weight. In some procedures, where the sample does not retain this amount of solution as it passes through the pad dryer, these tissues can be blotted with paper towels to the required moisture content before testing. In order to obtain a true and consistent result, the structure of all test samples must be confirmed, since the degree of contamination increases with the amount of remaining liquid.

3. Place the test sample between the two parts and insert it into the sampling device. In this way, when the multifiber test sample is placed in the oven, the colored strip is in a vertical position.

4. According to the performance of the Sweat Color Fastness Tester, use the following scheme:

The tablet is placed vertically between a display scale, fixed with a metal piece to one end and an adjustable metal piece on the other side. In adjustednt the screw, the moving part is brought closer to the sample to be tested to increase the pressure.

5. Place the installed sampling device in an oven at 38±1℃ (100±2°F) and heat it for at least 6 hours. If still not dry at the end of this testing period, remove the sample from the sampling device and air dry it by a convenient method, but at a temperature not exceeding 60°C (140°F). Because this simple test can be delayed by 16 hours, the test results show that no obvious color changes or contamination occurred after 6 hours.
