Product introduction

Abrasion testing machines are widely used in rubber abrasion testing. Since the use conditions of different rubber products vary widely, many types of abrasion testing machines are used. The experimental results obtained by different wear test machines are different, even incomparable.

The testing machines used for friction and wear can be roughly divided into three categories: sliding type, metal scraper type and rolling type. Sliding wear testing machine can ensure that the sample and the friction surface are 100% relative sliding, resulting in strong wear. The metal scraper enlarges the convex body of the sanding surface. By using metal scrapers with different collecting shapes, the wear mechanism can be studied under different conditionsrd. The blunt metal scraper commonly used is the best tool to study fatigue wear. The characteristic of the rolling sander is that it can produce a small relative sliding speed ratio, the load experienced by the sample is intermittent and intermittent, and it is easy to disperse anti-stick powder during the test.

Effect of external conditions on rubber wear

1. Effect of pressure

2. The influence of the condition of the friction surface

3. The influence of the coefficient of friction and the friction force

4. The influence of sliding speed and temperature

5. Environmental influences

The influence of rubber on wear test

1 Tensile strength

2. Modulus of elasticity and hardness

3 Fatigue performance

4. Hysteresis performance

5. Glass transition temperature

The results of the wear test are generally expressed by the wear intensity, ie the rate of wear (loss of mass, volume loss or depth of wear) per unit time, unit distance or unit frictional force. It can also be expressed by the ratio of the wear rate of the test rubber and the standard rubber under the same test conditions - the wear resistance index.

The relationship between the degree of wear under different severity

Severity is the intensity of wear. The three basic elements that determine the severity of wear are: stress condition, friction surface and environment (temperature and weather).

The difficulty of the test can also be expressed in frictional force, but in many cases measuring frictional force is difficult. The experimental results and performance can have a good correlation, which is what the test requires. The closer the severity of the machine matches the severity ofthe operating conditions, the better. According to the relationship between the wear test results under different severity, the appropriate laboratory wear test conditions can be selected, and the performance of the product under actual use conditions can be seen from the test results.
