The national standard "GB4208-93 Enclosure Protection Level" stipulates that IP67 means the product can prevent dust and momentary immersion in water; IP68 besigns that the product can prevent dust and prevent continuous diving. It should be noted that such protection does not include external influences such as mechanical damage, corrosion, moisture or environmental factors. In terms of sealing materials, it should be noted that a load cell that passes the IP67 half hour water immersion test may fail the 12-cycle damp heat test in the load cell standard. It must be said that the damp heat test specifiedrd in the load cell standard is more in line with the environmental requirements of the load cell, and its severity is not lower than IP67.

Influenced by price competition, many manufacturers have canceled the protective shell of the load cell, and the most common is the tensile force cell. At present, the S-type load cells, liquid level load cells and plate-ring load cells produced in China have almost all canceled the shell.
