The battery acupuncture test machine is mainly used to simulate the performance change and safety performance reliability of the battery after the battery is pierced by external sharp metal objects and the inside is damaged. Single Battery Test:

Requirements:

1. Charge in accordance with to the special regulations provided by the manufacturer. If the manufacturer does not provide a charger, under the conditions of 20°C ± 5°C, discharge the battery with a current of 1 I (A), stop discharging when the end voltage reaches 3.0 V (or the voltage end of discharge specified by the company\'s technical conditions), and leave to stand for 1 hour.Then charge at a constant current of 1I (A) at 20°C ± 5°C, switch to constant voltage charging when the battery voltage reaches 4.2V (or the end-of-discharge voltage specified in the technical conditions of the company), and stop when the load current drops to 0.1 I of load. Stay upright for 1 hour after charging.

2. Use a high temperature resistant steel needle with a diameter of φ3mm ~ φ8mm to penetrate from the direction perpendicular to the battery plate at a speed of 10mm/s ~ 40mm/ s (steel needle remains in battery)

 

Result:

There should be no fire or explosion.

Battery Module Test:

Requirements:

1. Charge in accordance with special regulations provided by the manufacturer. If the manufacturer does not provide a charger, at 20°C ± 5°C, discharge the battery with a current of 1I (A) until the voltage of the battery module atteign Stop discharging when n X 3.0V or when the battery module voltage is lower than 2.5V, then charge at a constant current of 1 I (A) at 20°C±5°C and switch to constant voltage charging when the battery module voltage reaches n X 4.2 V. Stop charging when the charging current drops to 0.1 I, and stop charging if the voltage of a single battery reaches 4 .3 V during the charging process. Stay upright for 1 hour after charging.

2. Use a high temperature resistant steel needle with a diameter of φ3mm~φ8mm to penetrate at least three battery cells (steel needles) in the direction perpendicular to the plate of the drum module at a speed of 10 mm. /s~40mm/s remain in battery)

Result:

Should not catch fire or explode.
