What are the test methods for the durability test of automotive interior materials?

Textiles have been widely used as automotive interior materials, from a short length of elastic band, vehicle seat belt to roof and door panel fabric, curtain, seat fabric, auto carpet and other fabric products in the automotive.Domestic textile industry already has a series of decorative products used in the Santana new and old models, B5, and bullet-head vehicles.

 

The durability of the textile materials in the car will not only affect the fastness of the product, but also affect the appearance of the product after use, which can be measured by the following performance test:

1 Pilling and snagging resistance -- the friction head of the abrasion tester wrapped with special abradant (rubber, wool fabric) makes reciprocating friction against the interior fabrics with a certain pressure and friction speed. After the specified rounds of friction, the product is compared with the original one to check whether there is snagging produced.

2.Abrasion resistance - on the Taber abrasion tester, the specified grinding wheel makes a certain number of friction to the interior fabric under certain pressure, and then evaluate the appearance of the fabric;
3. Wear resistance - on Taber abrasion tester or Martindale abrasion tester, the specified abradant makes certain number of friction to the interior fabric under certain pressure, inspect material wear weightlessness (weight loss) after grinding.

 

In addition, the fastness of the interior material in automotive(breaking strength, wear resistance, etc.), flame resistance, anti-odor spread, color fastness, anti-static performance and so on are also important assessment factors.
