The grinding wheel is an important part of the wear test. Taber offers genuine Tibera standard grades for a variety of specific applications. The wheels are a proprietary recipe designed to develop tiles and other adhesive materials that are decomposed during use, exposing and creating a new abrasive surface. The minimum available diameter of the Taber grinding wheel is 44.4 mm.

Grinding wheel of the Taber wear (machine) can be divided into:
The elastic wheels are made of elastic adhesive and alumina or silicon carbide abrasive particles. Commonly used to evaluate rigid specimens.
Calibrade - a binder made of ceramic inelastic wheels (clay) and silicon carbide or alumina abrasive particles. Commonly used to evaluate elastic samples.
Special purpose for special use.
At the same time, calibrade 03-wheel, with different requirements, to meet the grinding effect. The real Taber grinding wheel components are carefully selected to copy the normal use of wear. The quality and uniformity of these wheels are maintained continuously to sample and strictly control the production process.
The wheels are sold in pairs and are packed in tight containers to prevent damage. Each wheel is marked as "left hand (or right hand) - this side" to ensure that the mounting position will be copied after the wheel has been removed and reinstalled. For calibrade 03- and wheels, the label is used to indicate the minimum diameter of the wheel (1.75 inches or 44.45 mm outside diameter). When the wheel is worn to the label, it must be replaced.
Depending on the type and sample of the abrasive, the surface of the grinding wheel may change (i.e., block) due to the transfer of the material from the sample to the grinding wheel and must be cleaned regularly. Since the abrasive grain coefficient of the grinding wheel can also be changed by oil and other contaminants, only the sides of the wheel are treated.A set of genuine taira wheels will continue to depend on the load, surface texture and material testing and frequency reference friction characteristics.

Most of the published test methods provide enough detail to use the grinding wheel. If you are in a specific standard, please refer to the appropriate wheel. If your application does not have an established program, decide which is the best grinding wheel to determine in the initial test of the actual material. The ideal choice is to reproduce the material as much as possible in the actual use of wear and tear. It is important to remember that wear is a complex phenomenon that may not be completely reproduced by accelerating the wear test, and the abrasive wheel's actual contact condition, the material surface will be subjected to a limited subset of the service. 03-round
CS-8 03- - Elastic wheels provide a very mild grinding action, designed to run at 250 or 500 g load. Preface with S-11 glossy discs.
Cs-10f 03- - Elastic wheels provide a mild grinding action designed to run at 250 or 500 g load. The cs-10f is usually used to test ST-11 glossy stone such as safety glass and transparent plastic material and should be ground again.
This cs-10 03-elastic wheel provides a mild medium grinding action, like normal handling, cleaning, polishing. This popular wheel has been used to evaluate a variety of materials, including organic coatings, plastics, textiles, leather and paper products. Preface with S-11 glossy discs.
Cs-10p 03- has the same wear rate as cs-10, but this round has been designed so that the wheel surface does not load when the paper product is tested. Used for testing the duration of the short (as 100 cycles), with the smoothing after every tenth test.
Cs-10w 03- This round is cs-10 but white is the same to remove any color from the wheel sample.
03-CS-17 compared to the cs-10 wheel, resulting in a tougher CS-17 wear. The normal operation uses 500 or 1000 g of load, this round of test useful materials such as aluminum anodized, powder coatings, ceramics, plastic and enamel. Preface with S-11 glossy discs.
WARNING: Due to possible deterioration, the 03-wheel should not be used after the date wheel is printed.

Calibrade
H-10 calibrade - Inelastic, wheel design Evaluates wear resistance of steel and ferroalloy. It is also used to test the effect of hardening and tempering of steel and other iron materials.
Purpose Calibrade This commonly used inelastic wheel provides medium to coarse grinding. This is most often used to evaluate elastic materials such as rubber (non-sticky), certain woven fabrics, coated fabrics, and flexible plastic sheets.
H-22 calibrade - H-22 wheels produce a coarse grinding. It has been used to test rubber, linoleum, leather, deep pile fabric (such as car floor coverings) and concrete.
H-38 calibrade - inelastic, ceramic grinds made of fine abrasive grain. Designed to operate with 250 or 500 g load, the main purpose is this round of testing weaving and nonwovens. Must be re-tiled using a taira wheel grinder and multi-point diamond tool.
Note: calibrade wheel without shelf life.

Cs-0 rubber (with S-32) - elastic wheels without abrasive particles. Used when a very slight grinding effect is necessary, or for wet tests such as determining the relative wear of the dental pulp, cleaning powder, or the like. Sticky sandpaper can adhere to the cs-0 wheel around the evaluation of high pressure decorative laminates and other products with wear resistance.
Cs-5 felt that the grinding wheel was made of dense wool. Designed to test the 250 or 500 g load, its main purpose is to test the fabric when the wear of the service requires a fibrous material to rub another.
S-35 Tungsten Carbide - Tungsten Carbide, Peripheral by Sharp S-35 Helical (1 mm x 45 ° Spiral Pitch). The teeth combine the cutting and tearing action, which provides a very serious wear. Only for elastic materials such as rubber, linoleum, and leather.
S-39 leather - this round is a three-body wear test with sand and gravel, including the belt, always sticking to a brass hub outside.
Aluminum Wheels - A solid aluminum wheel that can be used, you can use a grinding bar.
S-33 sandpaper with closed coating sandpaper, cut 12.7 × 160mm, including pressure-sensitive adhesive tape cs-0 peripheral (S-32) elastic wheel. The s-33 is composed of ultrafine alumina sand, grade 360 FEPA with an average particle size of about 40.5 m (0.00159 in.).
